OOA Work Day…

The volunteer Soldiers of Operation Outreach Afghanistan held its second conex work day yesterday at Camp Phoenix.  I am pleased to report that 40 Soldiers took time out of their busy schedules to spend an hour sorting and organizing all the donated shoes, clothes and school supplies our friends and family back home have shipped over to us.  I am overwhelmed by all the support we’ve received so far.  Please don’t stop sending your gifts!  The children in the villages around us need so much.  Operation Outreach is here to serve as your local link to the hearts and minds of the Afghan people.  Thanks so much for helping us help them!

Chris, I have been following your blog and want to donate some things. Where do I mail them?

Tuck looked at the picture and pointed to the guy with the white towel on his head and said, “Yep, there’s my funny Daddy and his bald head.”

You will never recover from shaving your head…You are forever bald in Tuck’s eyes 🙂

“One set of size 7.5 womens high heels- Very practical for this rocky soil.” Not all donations are created equal, but I am sure equally appreciated. Speedos and Members Only jackets for all!
Seriously though, how do we donate to this cause? Where’s the drop-off?

Wow- how wonderful and exciting to receive all of the donations and gifts. You are going to be able to see so many smiling kiddos. What an amazing thing to be apart of. Hugs!
